Efficient acceleration, agility and speed of running play an important role in tennis performance. One of the important tasks in developing power, agility, strength and speed is the establishment of the best possible combination of stride length and stride frequency.

Specificity of each players program is essential as no two athletes are alike.

After the players have completed their screening with Michael Dalgleish and Optima Physiotherapy the results are passed on tonathanwade LifeTime's exercise physiologist Nathan Wade who then structures a strength and conditioning program for each athletes individual requirements.

Nathan Wade formed "Pure Fitness" to responds to the needs of aspiring champions and specialises in developing and monitoring fitness programs for motivated players with the desire to become "the best they can be." After the program has been set Nathan supervises sessions each week to ensure that the players are performing the exercises correctly and that their current program is achieving the desired results. Each player's program is continually adjusted to ensure the correct training stimulus is being applied and testing of the athletes strength and fitness levels are carried out on a regular basis to assess their progress.
